How to Publish a Reference

A reference is a teaching audio clip that can be attached to assignments. Publishing makes a reviewed clip available for assignment use, with its label and usable audio range set so students hear the intended passage.

Before you begin

Record or import a reference and save it as a draft before publishing it.

Steps

  1. Open References. Select the draft you want to prepare.
  2. Open the review. Select Review & publish or Review & edit.
  3. Check the usable audio. Adjust Clip label, Trim start, Trim end, and Measure 1 when needed.
  4. Publish the reference. Select Save & Publish.

ℹ️ Note: A saved draft cannot be attached to a new assignment until you publish it.

💡 Tip: Use the waveform's Trim start, Trim end, and Measure 1 modes instead of typing seconds.
