How to Reuse a Reference

A published reference is a teaching audio clip already prepared for assignments. Reusing it attaches the same clip to another student's assignment, so you can share a listening example without recording or importing another copy.

Before you begin

Publish the reference first. You also need the student's piece assignment to attach it to.

Steps

  1. Open the student. Under Repertoire & Assignments, select Add piece.
  2. Choose the existing piece. Search for and select the piece linked to the reference.
  3. Attach the reference. Under Reference recording, select the published reference.
  4. Send the assignment. Select Assign piece.

💡 Tip: File references under reusable pieces so they appear automatically whenever you assign that piece.

How to Assign a Piece

An assignment pairs a piece with practice directions for a student. Use Repertoire & Assignments to add a new piece or choose one the student has played before, then set the guidance they need.
