How to Allow Teacher Listening

With Premium, active teachers can listen to approved backups linked to their assignments. Allow Teacher Listening is on by default for the child; it does not approve a recording or turn backup on.

Before you begin

For listening to work, the child needs an active teacher connection, eligible Premium access, backup enabled by the primary guardian, and a reviewed, approved recording successfully backed up for that teacher's assignment.

Steps

  1. Open Family. Check the selected child's name.
  2. Review teacher listening. Under Teacher, read Allow Teacher Listening and its explanation.
  3. Choose access. Leave it on to allow eligible teachers to listen, or turn it off to stop teacher access. Complete device authentication when requested.
  4. Check the recording. Open Recording backup → Recordings to review its backup status. For a recording awaiting review, listen to it, confirm the review, and select Approve & back up when available.

ℹ️ Note: Turning teacher listening off keeps family access to recordings. A local recording that has not been approved and backed up is not made available to teachers by this setting.

How to Manage Recording Backup

Recording backup stores reviewed, approved audio in your family's Premium Vault. A local recording stays on the device unless you approve a backup. Turning backup on does not approve recordings automatically.

How to Delete Cloud Recordings

The primary guardian can remove a child's cloud recordings from Family. Cloud access stops when backup is turned off. Recordings that remain on this device are kept.
