How to Delete Cloud Recordings

The primary guardian can remove a child's cloud recordings from Family. Cloud access stops when backup is turned off. Recordings that remain on this device are kept.

Before you begin

Select the correct child and use their primary guardian's account. Deleting cloud recordings is separate from cancelling an App Store subscription.

Steps

1. Open Recording backup. In Family, find Back Up Recordings.
2. Open the removal choices. Turn backup off. If it is already off during recovery, select Delete cloud recordings now.
3. Choose recovery or deletion. Select the offered recovery period to allow restoring cloud access, or Delete cloud recordings now to skip recovery. Complete device authentication when requested.

⚠️ Warning: Immediate deletion cannot be undone. A recording held only in the cloud can be lost; keeping recordings on one device does not guarantee copies exist on another.
