How to Share a Student’s QR Code or Link

Send a student’s private QR code or link to their family to connect the profile you created. You can prepare lessons and assignments before they connect.

Before you begin

The student must be in Students, waiting for a parent.

Steps

  1. Open Students. Select the student’s tile.
  2. Open the share link. Select View share link, then Generate a new link if the original is no longer visible.
  3. Share with the family. Let the parent scan the QR code, select Copy, Text it, or Email it to send the link, or Print a sheet with both.
  4. Confirm the parent. After they connect, select Confirm this parent in Students. Check their email before selecting Yes, that's them.

⚠️ Warning: Send the link or printed QR code directly to the student’s family. Do not post it publicly.

If something goes wrong

For an expired link or QR code, select Generate a new link and send the replacement. The previous link and printed QR code stop working.
