How to Confirm a Parent Connection

A parent connection links a family account to a student's roster entry through its share link. Confirm the parent's identity before granting access to the connected profile.

Before you begin

The parent must use the student's share link before a confirmation appears in Students.

Steps

1. Open Students. Find the row marked Confirm this parent.
2. Open the connection. Select Confirm this parent to view the account email.
3. Verify the parent. Check that the email belongs to the student's parent.
4. Confirm access. Select Yes, that's them.

⚠️ Warning: If you do not recognize the email, select No, not them. The account stays unconnected.

ℹ️ Note: Compare the account email with the contact information you already have for the family.
