How to Confirm Family Access

Every new co-guardian must receive approval before gaining access to your child's profile.

Before you begin

Use the still-linked account that generated the code or the child's current Primary guardian account. A pending request must appear in Family.

Steps

1. Open Family. Check the child. Under Who can record & manage, tap the person's Pending request row.
2. Review the person. In the approval sheet, check their supplied name, relationship, request time, and deadline. Contact the person directly if unsure.
3. Decide. Confirm lets them record and manage practice, use available family recordings, and manage ordinary child settings. It does not transfer primary authority or subscription ownership. Choose Decline for an unrecognized request.
4. Authenticate. Complete Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode verification.

⚠️ Warning: Names and relationships are self-declared, not verified proof of family authority. A code can approve one new guardian; unresolved sibling requests expire. Each additional person needs a fresh code.

ℹ️ Note: Requesters can open their pending item under My access requests, including after restarting the app. A confirmed request offers Open child profile. Switching profiles while recording is refused.
